El proyecto neoliberal del rey Abdallah II. para Jordania: zonas francas y política exterior
Rodríguez Mojica, Erika Liliana
This monograph seeks to explain the interests and partial results obtained by the Hachemi Kingdom of Jordan in its project of neoliberal economic opening and free zones' establishment under the rule of Abdallah II. with special focus on the border region of Al-Karameh and the bilateral relation with Iraq, as a part of its national and international economic policy. Two International Relations theories will be used for the analysis: complex interdependence by Robert Keohane and Joseph Nye, and the hybrid regime approach by Curtis Ryan and Jillian Schwedler. From two resulting variables, vulnerability and hybrid regimen, an answer to why Jordan is becoming a neoliberal state will be given.
