Businesses today are seen as complex systems that can be affected by many variables that may affect its operation and performance, among the most important and influential is the kind of leadership to tell their employees and that in most cases this which is defined as the firm will be handled and under what terms. Chester Barnard (1938) notes that leadership is shaped by two factors: one technical and one moral, so it describes the success of organizations follows "organizations remain in proportion to the height of morality according to which are it ruled that the strength of an organization depends on the quality of its leadership,., and that quality, in turn, derived from the category of morality which is based on the "one (Barnard, 1968). So it is important that the company consider both production as well as human factors, the type of leadership that is handled in the company defines the behavior and performance of their employees hence also the productivity and performance of it. In connection with the above, it is noteworthy that one of the key factors in an organization is leadership, for this reason this paper will present a problem where we have to submit that tools or models can be used to accurately measure type of leadership, before all this will theoretically be defined so that it is clear about why it is important that this should be measured in a company and prove that leadership is one of the most influential factors in a company. Five models or tools to measure leadership, after this will select the most efficient and appropriate to the topic are identified, then a summary and analysis of each of these was presented to thus be able to identify which model is suitable for measuring leadership in private companies.
