Resumen
Cultural legacy, product of the traditions of each population group, is reflected on the territory through objects that are known as Built Heritage. To obtain such recognition, those objects must be maintained over time, keeping alive the essence of a certain event or time period relevant to a certain group or society. In order to preserve it, societies have developed strong mechanisms, but it is fair to question ¿Is this preservation really adequate? ¿Does Built Heritage performs a determinant role in the territory where it is located? To front these two questions, management and urban development is seen as the ideal discipline to intervene heritage, generating a multidisciplinary approach where the management and actions concerning heritage are written efficiently, achieving the conservation of a past legacy and at the same time playing a determinant role in the decision of present dynamics of human settlements.
