Resumen
The countries Colombia and Venezuela share an hydrographic system of sweet water, in which they share four basins: Guajira, Catatumbo, Orinoco and Amazon, it represents 79% of the Venezuelan’s territory and 61% of Colombian’s and almost 70% of the terrestrial limits between both countries. These areas of great geostrategic importance, that in different ages have been destabilizing part of the Bilateral Relations of both countries, because for being in frontier zones become into a main factor for the environmental safety, already they can be handled under the perspective of cooperation or conflict.
