Estado del arte sobre el concepto de bienestar, su evolución y alcance en la psicología comunitaria

Historically, the concept of well-being has been a complex subject to define. Although the literature has a considerable number of contributions, conceptual and empirical, there is no consensus among authors that clearly defines well-being. Likewise, it has been found that the concept of health has an important relation with the theme of well-being considering this as a component of well-being and quality of life. From the above, the present research is interested in the evolution of the concept of health to reach a wider understanding of well-being from its initial approaches, followed by the classification of it and the areas of psychology that have been interested in its development, focusing a particular interest about the contributions of community psychology. Finally, the theme of the factors related to well-being from the community psychology is addressed, emphasizing in the Sense of Community and its relationship with the migratory processes. Within the conclusions, it is considered the importance of thinking comprehensively about future interventions in the topic, since this requires that the strategies that are proposed promote the emergence of a new paradigm that can equip and become experts in the field to professionals who are dedicated to this subject, through the development of new methods and new ways of offering their services.
