Caracterización del ausentismo por incapacidad médica en los trabajadores administrativos de una empresa de salud

A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from the database of absenteeism due to health problems of the administrative area of a healthcare company based in Bogotá during the first half of 2014 Objective: Characterize the main causes of absenteeism in the administrative officials of a company health from the review of a database to make recommendations for prevention. Methods: Through a descriptive cross-sectional study, was analyzed a group of 284 administrative workers of a healthcare company that reported absenteeism due to health problems in the first half of 2014. Results: The main causes of absenteeism in the administrative staff for the first quarter of 2014 were by Common Disease diarrhea and gastroenteritis (22.2%) and acute nasopharyngitis (4.4%), occupational disease are musculoskeletal disorders (1.04%). 72% (207) of the disabilities were generated in administrative workers female and 46.3 % (133) in the age group between 31-40 years; according to seniority people have between 1 and 10 generated 59.2 % of the events. Conclusion: The disabilities in the study population are given in general higher percentage disability infectious and musculoskeletal diseases. Given that this study is purely descriptive, it can serve as a starting point for future studies that can be measured causal relationship between type of disability, duration, gender, charge and age group.
