Resumen
This thesis emerges as an opportunity for improvement in the warehouse of MÉDERI Hospital surgeries due to the recurrent return of medicines and supplies requested by nursing assistants for general surgery, which directly impacts labor productivity losses by re-processes, increased human errors and possible loss of medical supplies.
After this clear opportunity for improvement, making the decision to evaluate the internal processes of warehouse with the purpose of determining the critical point that generates this situation, resulting in surgical protocols, which having been designed several years ago based on a demand of this time, which are not consistent with the demand that the warehouse is currently living with surgeries. It was therefore decided to implement a moving average forecast, to identify the actual demand is presented in MÉDERI Hospital, this followed by a comparative graphic identity that would define the new protocol of general surgery, which can decrease the amount of material request, there by generating significant reductions in inventory, losses and increased productivity.
