Análisis de la marcha del 4 de febrero de 2008 como ejemplo de las nuevas metodologías de movilización social a la luz de la noopolitik.
Velásquez Zuluaga, José David
Political Science has research deeply into the phenomena of power and its causes. Theories have changed according to the social circumstances along the history; however, nowadays the dynamics of communication provided by technological elements, have produced unprecedented conjunctures like the 4 February of 2008 “One million voices against FARC” Generalization of the use of internet and –specially- social networks, have permitted a growing level of activism because of the facilities in cooperation and coordination, imperative in networks structure. Is fair to think about a reevaluation of traditional theories of vertical power and introduce new elements into the theoretical fields. Additional analysis elements will be able to explain issues about communication, horizontal power and political opportunity. The raise of what some people call “informational society” is the basis of the conceptual explanation of “noopolitik” The mobilization that in the past was expensive and time demanding, as well as hard to coordinate have been replaced by activism explosions conducted by a common feeling useful to a cause or objective. Is the case of study of this investigation: the biggest mobilization ever registered with more than 12 millions of people around the world and with the predominant use of social networks. The value of information –and of course its diffusion-, is now one of the principal topics of modern political science.
