VANTAGENS COMPARATIVAS MUNICIPAIS: INDICADORES E DETERMINANTES

| dc.description | This paper proposes a Municipal Comparative Advantage Indicator (IVCM) in order to guide governmental policies regarding investment. The IVCM is a result indicator associated with the total factor productivity. In the article, the IVCM is estimated for the municipalizes of the State of Ceará. Furthermore, through an econometric exercise, it is attempted to identify which are the factors that determine the existing comparative advantages. Since local infrastructure is the factor that the Government can affect the most, it is shown that it represents only a small part of the competitiveness of most of the regions analyzed. | en-US |

O IVCM é indicador de resultado associado à Produtividade Total dos Fatores. No artigo, o IVCM é estimado para os municípios do Estado do Ceará. Além disso, através de um exercício econométrico, busca-se compreender quais são os principais determinantes destas vantagens comparativas. Observa-se que a infra-estrutura local - variável que o governo estadual mais intensamente pode influenciar - responde por apenas uma pequena parte da competitividade da maioria das regiões. | pt-BR |
