Resumen
The present research had as objective to make a proposal of a management model for
the sustainability of the Family Welfare Program, implemented by Vision Mundial, in
the Palmira Tixan Association, Canton Guamote, Province of Chimborazo, developed
in three stages: First, to investigate the sustainability of community projects and
national and international experiences; Second, to diagnose the administrative
management of the Family Wellbeing Program and third, to structure the proposal of
the management model, in the field study, primary information was compiled, in which
surveys and interviews were distributed to the representative of 50 children from 0-5
years and program technicians, the results of the surveys served as the basis for the
elaboration of the model, 98% of the representatives of the children expressed their
satisfaction with the services provided by the program and considered that it must
continue. It is concluded that according to the characteristics of the Family Welfare
Program, there is a management model, adapted to the European Foundation for Quality
Management Excellence Model (EFQM), based administrative management, which
seeks sustainability, with the empowerment of community actors, and the support of
strategic partners, which are part of it. It is recommended to the administrative
authorities of the Palmira Tixan Association, The implementation of this management
tool, which will serve as a guide for the continuity of the processes and results
achieved, during the intervention of the World Vision Foundation of Ecuador, being the
communities the managers of their own development, contributing to improve the
quality of life of children under five in the communities.
