Resumen
The prototype for folding and bagging textiles for the laboratory of Industrial Engineering School was designedand built to operate automatically by a logic controller functions (LOGO), in order to optimize the time in the textile industry and develop knowledge,skills and technicalabilities in automation. To carry out the desing and construcction of the prototype folding and bagging textiles, the most viable alternative was selected, determinig the sequence of work and the motion diagram of the devices used, presenting educational and autómata features. With electrical and elestro machanical diagram, electronnic and pneumatic components suitable for the proper functioning of the prototype elementes were determined. This is composed of acrylic thickness 4,2 mm, pneumatic cylinders, flow regulators, air distribution, vacuum generator, windy, solenoid valves, logic controller functions and networks. The programming was done in the LOGO V8 software for automation prototype. manual operation and maintenance plan was developed for use as a guide prior ti use and maintain the operable prototipe. The prototype is part of laboratory automation Industrial Engineering school, creating a great educational contribution; it is of great help to the students in the acquisition of knowledge.
