Resumen
The study of the production of lubricating oil from waste banana aims to expand the use of vegetable oils as an alternative to lubricants from oil to use in specific functions required in engines and machinery, opening the way to a new consumer culture of biodegradable and renewable bio-lubricants. This study required a phase of information gathering and yielded banana waste oil. In laboratory comparisons of their physical-chemical with a mineral oil lubricant properties were performed; these comparisons we obtained information about the characteristics, similarities and differences to those of a conventional lubricant. The results of the specification of the lubricant 10W30 biolubricant resemble in relative density values of 0,8814 and 0,86 respectively; kinematic viscosity at 100°C with values of 13,4187 and 11,3 respectively, and point inflammation values of 250 and 200 respectively. Through this comparative analysis are marked two differences; viscosity index values 340,189 and140 respectively, with pour point of 5°C and -36°C respectively. Results show that the biolubricante requires more extensions for future studies states suitable viscosity and pour point in order to effectively use their properties as optimal biolubricante in the automotive and industrial field. It is recommended from this study expanding research for improvement and effective applications of oil banana residues.
