Resumen
"To minimize the environmental impact om the solid residues, a byproduct of the
amed leather rabetting generated at the Tanning factory Promepell S.A. of
Ambato city, its intended o reuse these residues hydrolyzed of collagen through
alkaline-cnzymatic hydrolysisto use it as a helper of leather greasing. lt was based
on the experimental method using as logical processes, induction trough premises,
«arying out essays at the lab scale to evaluate he conditions in which the shaving.
hydrolysis of “wet blue” was comied out considering the shavingswater
relationship, reaction time, enzyme concentration, sodium hydroxide — shaving
relationship and temperature. The optimum process conditions were 0.086; 3
hours; 0.3% enzyme; 0.1 lkali and 40 - 70 “C temperature. The deductive method
vas applied through which the process is caried out logica from the universal to
he particular from the fundamentals for the use of the solid residues and
application of he obtained product. A greasing helper was developed for its
application in the poststanming with adequate properties which contribute with
suficiet lubricant power, waxy tac, good surface reasing capacity and adequate
elastciy.Itis recommended to reus this residue to obtain hydrolyzed collagen, a
product of interest fr tanning as well as for being commercialized diminishing
contamination."
