Demixing and symmetry breaking in binary dipolar Bose-Einstein-condensate solitons
(2014-01-31)
We demonstrate a fully demixed (separated) robust and stable bright binary dipolar Bose-Einstein-condensate soliton in a quasi-one-dimensional setting formed due to dipolar interactions for repulsive contact interactions. ...

Fixed points and vacuum energy of dynamically broken gauge theories
(1997-10-30)
We show that if a gauge theory with dynamical symmetry breaking has nontrivial fixed points, they will correspond to extrema of the vacuum energy. This relationship provides a different method to determine fixed points.

Comment on "spontaneous breaking of permutation symmetry in pseudo-Hermitian quantum mechanics"
(American Physical Society, 2017-10)
Li and Miao [Phys. Rev. A 85, 042110 (2012)PLRAAN1050-294710.1103/PhysRevA.85.042110] proposed a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian that is neither Hermitian nor PT symmetric but exhibits real eigenvalues for some values of the ...
Magnetic effects on spontaneous symmetry breaking/restoration in a toroidal topology
(American Physical Society, 2013)
We study temperature and finite-size effects on the spontaneous symmetry breaking/restoration for a
scalar field model under the influence of an external magnetic field, at finite chemical potential. We use the
two-particle ...
Supergraph techniques for D=3, N=1 broken supersymmetric theories
(AMER PHYSICAL SOC, 2011)
We enlarge the usual D = 3 N = 1 supergraph techniques to include the case of (explicitly or spontaneously) broken supersymmetric gauge theories. To illustrate the utility of these techniques, we calculate the two-loop ...
