Financial inclusion and entrepreneurship: Research agenda based on a bibliometric analysis from 2012 to 2022

Abstract

The objective of this publication is to understand the trends in research on financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, as well as to present the main research topics for each study variable. Therefore, a descriptive study was carried out based on a bibliometric analysis to discover the evolution of publications over time, the most important journals, the main authors, the countries that study this topic the most, and the keywords. For this bibliometric analysis of the 184 publications, the voswiever software was used, which allowed us to find 27 keywords divided into four clusters, which are the following: Inclusive financial system, financial education as a factor in the development of entrepreneurship, Inclusive financial services and digital finance in entrepreneurship; likewise, 16 main trending topics of study for financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. The contribution of this study consists of the presentation of these main trending topics.
