| dc.description | The project goal is to enable students to make the diagnosis of malocclusions in children , develop and implement treatment plans specifically in relation to the functional posterior crossbite during the stages of deciduous and mixed dentition through a treatment protocol with use of a fixed expander called " modified Hyrax ", and thus eliminate functional deviations of the jaw and reestablish the normal dentition development. The results have shown the improvement of oral health of the population assisted. | |
| dc.description | O objetivo do projeto é capacitar o aluno a realizar o diagnóstico de más oclusões em crianças, elaborar e executar planos de tratamento especificamente em relação à mordida cruzada posterior funcional durante as fases de dentição decídua e mista, por meio de um protocolo de tratamento utilizando-se um aparelho expansor fixo denominado “Hyrax modificado”, e assim eliminar desvios funcionais da mandíbula e reestabelecer o processo normal do desenvolvimento da dentição. Os resultados obtidos têm demonstrado a melhora da saúde bucal da população assistida. | |
