Los efectos de Internet, redes sociales y televisión en adolescentes universitarios entre 16 y 24 años son cada día más notorios. Este trabajo señala el rol de la familia como orientador para sus miembros ante la transformación de la comunicación, por los avances tecnológicos. El acompañamiento familiar juega un papel vital y mediador frente a los servicios y productos de televisión, Internet y las redes sociales, ya que influyen en la dinámica familiar. Sin embargo, el acompañamiento familiar se ve en cuanto a la televisión, más no en la Internet o las redes sociales. Los nuevos y viejos medios de comunicación afectan el uso del tiempo, los horarios, las comidas y la interacción con otros. Este tema, relacionado con las interacciones humanas cotidianas, amerita profundización académica, psicológica y social en el mundo actual.The effects of the internet, social networks and television on college adolescents between 16 and 24 years old are becoming more important every day. This work points out the role of the family as a guide for its members as well as the transformation of communication due to these technological advances. Family support plays a vital and mediating role in the face of television, Internet and social media services and products, as they influence family dynamics. However, family support is seen in terms of television, but not on the Internet or social networks. The new and old media affect the use of time, schedules, meals, and interaction with others. It is these important themes in everyday human interactions that merit academic, psychological and social deepening in today’s world.
