dc.descriptionThe patient with Septic Shock requires treatment and care in Intensive Care to receive timely care and rehabilitation. The objective is to determine the incidence of patients admitted with Septic Shock in adults hospitalized in intensive care, according to sex, age and type of discharge of the patients at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in the city of Tarija in a specific period. The mixed approach was applied and the research is exploratory - descriptive. The population is patients with Septic Shock who were admitted to the Adult Intensive Care Unit of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, with a total of 128 patients. The data collection technique is the observation of medical records. A total of 128 patients with Septic Shock in Adult Intensive Care had a higher incidence in 2022 with 62 patients representing 48% of the total. The patients most admitted were males with a total of 74 adults. Patients between the ages of 31 and 60 were admitted the most. Finally, the type of discharge of Adult Intensive Care Septic Shock patients is death with 81 patients out of a total of 128 patients.en-US
dc.descriptionEl paciente con Shock Séptico requiere ser tratado y cuidado en Terapia Intensiva para recibir la atención y rehabilitación oportuna. El objetivo es determinar la incidencia de pacientes que ingresan con Shock Séptico en adultos hospitalizados en terapia intensiva, según sexo, edad y tipo de egreso de los pacientes en el Hospital San Juan de Dios de la ciudad de Tarija en un periodo determinado. Se aplicó el enfoque mixto y la investigación es exploratoria – descriptiva. La población son los pacientes con Shock Séptico que ingresaron a la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva Adulto del Hospital San Juan de Dios siendo un total de 128 pacientes. La técnica de recolección de datos, es la observación de las historias clínicas. Un total de 128 pacientes con Shock Séptico en Terapia Intensiva Adulto, tuvo mayor incidencia el año el 2022 con 62 pacientes representando un 48% del total. Los pacientes que más ingresaron fueron del sexo masculino con un total de 74 adultos. Entre las edades de 31 a 60 años son los pacientes que más ingresaron. Finalmente, el tipo de egreso de los pacientes de Shock Séptico de Terapia Intensiva Adultos, es el óbito con 81 pacientes de un total de 128 pacientes.es-ES
