dc.descriptionThe patient who suffers a Stroke requires treatment and care in Intensive Care so that he or she can receive timely care and rehabilitation. The objective is to determine the incidence of Cerebrovascular Accidents in adults hospitalized in intensive care, according to sex, age and type of discharge of the patients at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in the city of Tarija in a specific period. The mixed approach was applied and the research is exploratory - descriptive. The population is the patients who were admitted with a Cerebrovascular Accident to the Adult Intensive Care Unit of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, with a total of 110 patients. The data collection technique is the observation of medical records. A total of 110 patients with stroke in Adult Intensive Care had a higher incidence in 2019 with 39 patients representing 36% of the total. The patients who were admitted the most were males with a total of 63 adults, between the ages of 61 and older are the patients who were admitted the most. Finally, the type of discharge of stroke patients from Adult Intensive Care is medical discharge with 59 patients out of a total of 110 patients.en-US
dc.descriptionEl paciente que sufre Accidente Cerebrovascular requiere ser tratado y cuidado en Terapia Intensiva para que pueda recibir las atención y rehabilitación oportuna. El objetivo es determinar la incidencia de Accidentes Cerebrovasculares en adultos hospitalizados en terapia intensiva, según sexo, edad y tipo de egreso de los pacientes en el Hospital San Juan de Dios de la ciudad de Tarija en un periodo determinado. Se aplicó el enfoque mixto y la investigación es exploratoria – descriptiva. La población son los pacientes que ingresaron con un Accidente Cerebrovascular a la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva Adulto del Hospital San Juan de Dios siendo un total de 110 pacientes. La técnica de recolección de datos, es la observación de las historias clínicas. Un total de 110 pacientes con ACV en Terapia Intensiva Adulto, tuvo mayor incidencia el año el 2019 con 39 pacientes representando un 36% del total. Los pacientes que más ingresaron fueron del sexo masculino con un total de 63 adultos, entre las edades de 61 a más años son los pacientes que más ingresaron. Finalmente, el tipo de egreso de los pacientes con ACV de Terapia Intensiva Adultos, es el alta médica con 59 pacientes de un total de 110 pacientes.es-ES
