Nivel de conocimiento de protocolos y actitudes sobre bioseguridad en cirujanos dentistas del centro histórico de Trujillo 2023

Abstract

Determinar el nivel de conocimiento de protocolos y actitudes sobre bioseguridad en cirujanos dentistas del centro histórico de Trujillo, 2023. Material y Métodos: La investigación fue descriptiva-transversal. Se evaluó a 76 cirujanos dentistas del centro histórico de Trujillo. Se utilizó un cuestionario de 15 preguntas, previa validación por expertos obteniendo la V de Aiken 0.99 y una confiabilidad con el estudio piloto siendo el alpha de Cronbach para el nivel de conocimiento de protocolos (alfa=0.681) y para actitudes de bioseguridad (alfa= 0.693 ). Resultados: El nivel de conocimiento de protocolos de los cirujanos dentistas del centro histórico de Trujillo fue bueno con el 53.9% y el 46.1% fue regular. Mientras que entre 88.9% y el 96.8% presentaron una actitud positiva sobre bioseguridad. No se encontró relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y actitudes con el tiempo de servicio (p=0.1332; p=0.3939) ni con la especialidad (p=0.8346, p=0.4402). Conclusiones: Más de la mitad de los cirujanos dentistas evaluados tiene un nivel de conocimiento de protocolos bueno y casi la totalidad de los participantes, presenta una actitud positiva sobre bioseguridad.

Determine the level of knowledge of protocols and attitudes about biosafety in dental surgeons in the historic center of Trujillo, 2023. Material and Methods: The research was descriptive-cross-sectional. 76 dental surgeons from the historic center of Trujillo were evaluated. A 15-question questionnaire was used, after validation by experts, obtaining Aiken's V of 0.99 and a reliability with the pilot study being Cronbach's alpha for the level of knowledge of protocols (alpha = 0.681) and for biosafety attitudes (alpha = 0.693). Results: The level of knowledge of protocols of the dental surgeons in the historic center of Trujillo was good with 53.9% and 46.1% was regular. While between 88.9% and 96.8% presented a positive attitude about biosafety. No relationship was found between the level of knowledge and attitudes with the length of service (p=0.1332; p=0.3939) or with the specialty (p=0.8346, p=0.4402). Conclusions: More than half of the dental surgeons evaluated have a good level of knowledge of protocols and almost all of the participants have a positive attitude about biosafety.
