Resumen
A nivel global, las inundaciones son uno de los peligros naturales más frecuentes debido a los repentinos cambios climáticos causando grandes pérdidas económicas y sociales en las poblaciones vulnerables. Asimismo, debido a la topografía y relieve que presentan dichas localidades, es probable que existan zonas vulnerables a inundaciones que podrían causar daños a los sistemas de saneamiento, infraestructuras y servicios generales como salud y luz, estos problemas aún no se han visto solucionados debido a la mala gestión municipal que presentan en la ciudad de Chiclayo, Debido a los riesgos evaluados durante los últimos años se vienen implementando nueva metodologías para la gestión de riesgo por inundaciones causadas por los diferentes fenómenos del niño. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio de inundaciones utilizando un método de lenguaje de programación visual que permita la visualización de pendientes, flujos de agua, zonas vulnerables y precipitaciones en dicha zona de estudio.
