Características de la videolaringoscopia y la laringoscopia tradicional en pacientes sometidos a intubación endotraqueal en la unidad de traumashock del hospital de emergencias José Casimiro Ulloa, enero-junio, 2022

Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar las características de la videolaringoscopia y la
laringoscopia tradicional en pacientes sometidos a intubación endotraqueal en
la unidad de traumashock del hospital de emergencias José Casimiro Ulloa,
enero-junio,2022.
Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de tipo Descriptivo, aplicada
observacional, y transversal. La muestra obtenida fue de 269 pacientes. Se
utilizó como instrumento una ficha de recolección de datos. Los datos se
procesaron mediante el software SPSS V.25 utilizando tablas y gráficos de
frecuencias y porcentajes.
Resultados: Las características del videolaringoscopio fueron el tiempo de
intubación <30 segundos (52.8%), la intubación exitosa al primer intento
(56.7%), no hubo lesiones (91.3%), fentanilo como premedicación (92.9%) y el
midazolam como sedante (92.9%). Las características del laringoscopio
tradicional fueron el tiempo de intubación >60 segundo (47.9%), la intubación
exitosa al 2do y 3er intento (51.4%), el sangrado de tejido blando (29.6%), no
hubo premedicación (86.6%), propofol como sedante (86.6%) y vecuronio como
paralizante (26.8%).
Conclusiones: La videolaringoscopia tuvo como características: menor tiempo
de intubación, mayor tasa de éxito al primer intento, mínima cantidad de
lesiones, fentanilo como premedicación, midazolam como sedante y no se
requirió el uso de paralizantes y la laringoscopia tradicional tuvo como
características: mayor tiempo de intubación, tasa de éxito mayor al segundo y
tercer intento, ocasiono más lesiones, la mayoría no requirió drogas para la
premedicación, mayormente se utilizó como sedante al propofol y al vecuronio
como paralizante.
