Resumen
Objetivo: Evaluar si existe correlación entre el miedo a la COVID-19 y el trastorno de ansiedad generalizada (TAG) en estudiantes universitarios del departamento de Lambayeque, Perú, en el año 2020-2021. Materiales y métodos: Estudio observacional, analítico, transversal que evaluó a 370 estudiantes universitarios del departamento de Lambayeque mediante un cuestionario en línea usando Google Forms. Se utilizó un instrumento de recolección de datos sociodemográficos y clínicos, que incluyó a la escala de miedo a la COVID-19 y a la escala GAD-7 para el TAG. Los datos fueron recolectados
usando el programa Excel 2013. El software Stata v.15 fue usado para el análisis univariado y bivariado de las variables. Los resultados fueron expresados en tablas. Resultados y conclusiones: El TAG se encontró en el 48,6% de los participantes y corresponde a los que presentaron niveles de ansiedad de moderada (27%) a severa (21,6%). Los participantes obtuvieron una mediana de 17 en la puntuación acerca del miedo a la COVID – 19. Se encontró correlación con la prueba de correlación de Pearson entre la edad y el miedo a la COVID – 19. Asimismo, se demostró que sí existe correlación entre el miedo a la COVID - 19 y el TAG.
