La investigación
titulada “FACTORES SOCIOCULTURALES QUE
INTERVIENEN EN LA ALIMENTACIÓN COMPLEMENTARIA EN MADRES DE
NIÑOS DE 6-12 MESES, EN EL CENTRO DE SALUD CHECACUPE, CUSCO
– 2023” Objetivo: Determinar los factores socioculturales que intervienen en la
alimentación complementaria en madres de niños de 6-12 meses en el centro
de salud Checacupe, Cusco – 2023. Método: De enfoque cuantitativo, alcance
correlacional, diseño no experimental y transversal; en una muestra de 50
madres de niños de 6 a 12 meses registradas en el Centro de Salud Checacupe
en Canchis 2023.
Resultados: En los factores sociales de las madres de niños de 6 a 12 meses el
57,7% de madres tienen entre 19 a 29 años; 57,7% son convivientes; 53,9%
tienen secundaria como grado de instrucción y 69,2% es ama de casa, 73,1%
de los niños se encuentran dentro de los 9 a 12 meses de edad y 57,7%
mencionó tener 1 hijo. En los factores culturales 80,8% si recibió capacitación
sobre la alimentación complementaria de su niño, 88,5% le dio el primer alimento
a su niño antes de los 6 meses, 61,5% siempre cumplen las recomendaciones
del personal de salud. El 58,0% de las madres tiene una práctica desfavorable
en la alimentación complementaria y 42% favorable. En cuanto a la relación de
los factores sociales con la alimentación complementaria se halló relaciones
significativas para: grado de instrucción (p=0.009), ocupación actual (p=0.05),
edad del niño (p=0.00) y número de hijos (p=0.046). Para los factores culturales
con la alimentación complementaria se halló relaciones significativas para: la
capacitación recibida (p=0.033), edad de inicio de alimentación (p=0.032) y
recomendaciones de alimentación por parte del personal de salud (p=0.001). The research
titled "SOCIOCULTURAL FACTORS AFFECTING
COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING IN MOTHERS OF CHILDREN AGED 6-12
MONTHS AT THE CHECACUPE HEALTH CENTER, CUSCO - 2023" Objective:
To identify the sociocultural factors influencing complementary feeding in
mothers of children aged 6-12 months at the Checacupe Health Center, Cusco -
2023. Method: Employing a quantitative approach, with a correlational scope, a
non-experimental and cross-sectional design; based on a sample of 50 mothers
of children aged 6 to 12 months registered at the Checacupe Health Center in
Canchis 2023.
Results: Regarding the social factors of mothers with children aged 6 to 12
months, 57.7% of mothers are between the ages of 19 to 29; 57.7% are
cohabiting; 53.9% have completed secondary education, and 69.2% are
homemakers. 73.1% of the children fall within the age range of 9 to 12 months,
and 57.7% mentioned having 1 child. In terms of cultural factors, 80.8% received
training on their child's complementary feeding, 88.5% introduced the first food
to their child before 6 months, and 61.5% consistently adhere to the
recommendations of health professionals. 58.0% of mothers demonstrate
unfavorable practices in complementary feeding, while 42% show favorable
practices. In relation to the association of social factors with complementary
feeding, significant relationships were found for: educational level (p=0.009),
current occupation (p=0.05), child's age (p=0.00), and number of children
(p=0.046). For cultural factors associated with complementary feeding,
significant relationships were identified for: received training (p=0.033), age of
feeding initiation (p=0.032), and feeding recommendations by health staff
(p=0.001).
