Autoestima y estrategias de afrontamiento de pacientes con VIH/SIDA. Programa tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad (TARGA) - Hospital Santa Gema-Yurimaguas. Año, 2022

Abstract

La presente investigación se ha desarrollado con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el nivel de autoestima y afrontamiento de pacientes con VIH/SIDA del Programa tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad (TARGA) del Hospital Santa Gema-Yurimaguas. Año, 2022. Para ello, se trabajó una investigación sustantiva básica, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y con un corte transversal. La muestra se encontró conformada por un total de 50 pacientes con VIH/SIDA del Programa tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad (TARGA) del Hospital Santa Gema-Yurimaguas. Los instrumentos empleados para la recolección de los datos fueron los cuestionarios. Como principal resultado se tiene que, un 66% pacientes con VIH/SIDA del Programa de tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad (TARGA) del Hospital Santa Gema-Yurimaguas presenta un nivel medio alto de autoestima, de los cuales, el 64% presenta un nivel medio de afrontamiento y un 2% un nivel alto, en tanto que, de un 16% de pacientes que presenta un nivel medio bajo de autoestima, la totalidad de estos presenta un bajo nivel de afrontamiento. Se concluye que: con un p valor de 0,000 y un valor r de 0,696 se determinó que existe una relación entre el nivel de autoestima y el afrontamiento de pacientes con VIH/SIDA del Programa de tratamiento antirretroviral de gran actividad (TARGA) del Hospital Santa Gema-Yurimaguas. The objective of the present research was to determine the relationship between the level of self-esteem and coping in patients with HIV/AIDS of the highly active antiretroviral treatment program (HAART) of the Santa Gema-Yurimaguas Hospital. Year, 2022. For this purpose, a basic substantive research was carried out, with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of a total of 50 patients with HIV/AIDS in the highly active antiretroviral treatment program (HAART) of the Santa Gema-Yurimaguas Hospital. The instruments used for data collection were questionnaires. The main result is that 66% of patients with HIV/AIDS of the Highly Active Antiretroviral Treatment Program (HAART) of the Santa Gema-Yurimaguas Hospital have a medium-high level of self-esteem, of which 64% have a medium level of coping and 2% a high level, while 16% of patients who have a medium-low level of self-esteem, all of them have a low level of coping.
