Resistencia a oxacilina de portadores asintomáticos de staphylococcus aureus en estudiantes de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo

Staphylococcus aureus lo encontramos principalmente en su nicho biológico las fosas nasales anteriores, las cuales son fuentes potenciales de infección y un factor de riesgo elevado para subsiguientes infecciones invasivas. Los individuos sanos, que presentan dicha bacteria son portadores asintomáticos. Este microorganismo actualmente podemos encontrarlo tanto en comunidad como intrahospitalario y determinándose que la resistencia a diversos fármacos a variado, como por ejemplo la resistencia a oxacilina, causando enfermedades de alta mortalidad. OBJETIVO: Conocer la existencia de portadores asintomáticos de Staphylococcus aureus resistentes a oxacilina en estudiantes de sexto año de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. MATERIALES Y METODO: se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal en estudiantes de sexto año de medicina mediante hisopado nasal cultivándose en agar manitol, después de las de 24 horas se observó patogenicidad, confirmando que era S. aureus mediante la prueba de la coagulasa. RESULTADOS: De los 56 alumnos se obtuvo como resultado que un 16% era portador asintomático de S. aureus y que un 84% no era portador a S. aureus. El antibiograma reveló que 100% portadores asintomáticos eran sensible a oxacilina. CONCLUSION: En la población de estudiantes de sexto de medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo del 2013, no existen portadores asintomáticos de S. aureus resistentes a la oxacilina
