Determinar la asociación entre patrones dietéticos y los niveles de ansiedad en los estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo
MATERIALES Y MÉTODO: Se realizó un estudio transversal analítico donde se encuestaron 323 estudiantes de segundo, tercer, cuarto, quinto, sexto y séptimo año académico de la escuela de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo durante el año 2020, utilizando las encuestas de Frecuencia de Consumo modificada e Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck. Se aplicó la prueba de Chi cuadrado para determinar la asociación entre las variables (IC: 95%).
RESULTADOS: El 56.7% de los estudiantes encuestados presentó nivel de ansiedad mínima, 26% de ansiedad leve, 10.8% de ansiedad moderada y 6.5% de ansiedad severa. Los patrones dietéticos predominantes fueron el patrón mediterráneo (45.8%) y el patrón tradicional (44.3%). El patrón dietético más frecuente en ansiedad mínima fue el mediterráneo (55.2%), en ansiedad leve y moderada fue el tradicional (53.6% y 45.7% respectivamente) y en ansiedad severa fue el patrón dietético snack (61.9%). (X²=124.9; IC:95%) [p=0.0000; p < 0.05].
CONCLUSION: Los patrones dietéticos presentan una asociación significativa a los niveles de ansiedad de los estudiantes de medicina.
