Cambios en el comportamiento locomotor con ketamina administrada en rattus rattus var. albinus usando los modelos “open field” y “rota road”.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar los cambios en el comportamiento locomotor con la administración de dosis diferentes de ketamina (15, 30 y 45 mg/kg) en ratas de laboratorio durante 20 días usando los modelos “open field” y “rota rod”. Las variables analizadas en el “open field” fueron cuadrados avanzados, defecación, posición bípeda, intromisión, autolimpieza y tiempo de postura; y del “rota rod” fue el tiempo de permanencia. El “rota rod” se midió en los siete primeros días después de una hora de administración. El “open field” se midió en los días 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 ,10 y 20. En el primer día se midió a las 0.5, 1.0, 2.5 y 4.5 horas; en los demás días se analizó una sola vez al día. El resultado obtenido con el modelo “open field” fue un aumento en la locomoción en los tres grupos problemas en comparación con el grupo control. De todas las variables analizadas, en donde se observó una mayor evidencia con diferencia estadística significativa (p<0.05) fue en cuadrados avanzados. El primer día de análisis se observó diferencia estadística significativa (p<0.05) en el problema 3 a la dosis de 45 mg/kg. Conforme transcurrieron los días se observó una diferencia estadística significativa (p<0.05) en el problema 2 con la dosis de 30 mg/kg. Con respecto al “rota rod” se observó una diferencia estadística significativa (p<0.05) agrupando los valores obtenidos durante los primeros 7 días. El resultado obtenido después de realizar este análisis fue que la ketamina genera un mayor tiempo de permanencia de los especímenes en el “rota rod”. En conclusión, el presente estudio sugiere que esta forma de trabajo puede ser utilizado como un modelo de esquizofrenia; en el cual las dosis donde se observa mejor el efecto son 30 mg/kg y 45mg/kg.
