El objetivo del informe es Identificar las características de las interacciones farmacológicas en pacientes hospitalizados con polipatologías del Servicio de Medicina Interna 4-C del Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins octubre-noviembre, 2016 por ello se ha elegido el Servicio de Medicina Interna para la realización de este estudio, por las características de los pacientes que ingresan en él, generalmente de edad avanzada y con polipatologías, lo que conlleva a un número elevado de medicamentos prescritos. De un total de 57 pacientes del cual se observó que el 31,58% son del sexo masculino, las edades oscila desde los 70-90 años, teniendo en su mayoría como 3 enfermedades en promedio por paciente, siendo las enfermedades con mayor frecuencia la Hipertensión Arterial (HTA), Neumonía Intrahospitalaria (NIH) y arrítmia. El consumo de medicamentos en promedio es de 6-7 medicamentos por paciente, siendo de mayor prescripción: ácido acetilsalicílico, enoxaparina, furosemida, omeprazol, alprazolam, captopril entre otros. Los medicamentos con mayor frecuencia de interacción de mayor significancia fueron omeprazol-digoxina con 25,00% produciendo un aumento de digoxina en sangre; digoxina-bisoprolol con 31,25% generando sinergismo en el efecto y los medicamentos más frecuentes de interacción de menor significancia fueron omeprazol-alprazolam con 5,52% disminuyendo el efecto de alprazolam, bisoprolol-irbersartán en 4,83% produciendo sinergismo, bisoprolol-Valsartan con 4,83% logrando un sinergismo hipotensor en pacientes hospitalizados en el Servicio de Medicina Interna 4-C del Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins, octubre-noviembre, 2016
