Comorbilidades en pacientes adultos con lupus eritematoso sistémico. Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo – Perú

Determinar las comorbilidades en pacientes adultos diagnosticados con Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico en Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo-Perú durante el periodo Enero 2008 - Diciembre 2013. Material y Método: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo que incluyó a 70 pacientes con diagnóstico de LES atendidos en el Servicio de Reumatología del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. Se determinaron los parámetros sociodemográficos, así como la frecuencia de las comorbilidades de LES. Resultados y Conclusiones: Se encontró que 51 pacientes (72.9%) presentaron comorbilidades, así mismo 32 pacientes (45.7%) presentan más de una comorbilidad. La principal comorbilidad fueron las infecciones (55.7%), seguidos de daños secundarios a corticoides e HTA, con un 24.3% y 17.1% respectivamente. De las infecciones, las más frecuentes fueron las urogenitales (35.7%). El sexo femenino fue predominante tanto en el diagnóstico de LES como en el de las comorbilidades, con el 68.6% de las últimas. Los pacientes que presentaron comorbilidades según los grupos etarios 18-34 y >34 años de edad fueron de 78.4% y 21.6% respectivamente. Respecto a la procedencia de los pacientes que presentaron comorbilidades, el 64.3% procedieron de La Libertad seguidos de Ancash y Lambayeque con 4.3% y 2.9% respectivamente
