El Impacto económico del tratado de libre comercio con Estados Unidos en la Región La Libertad

Actualmente, la estrategia peruana de desarrollo se encuentra en un proceso de apertura comercial. Además, tiene actividad productiva- exportable en todas sus regiones. A ese desafío estratégico responden los acuerdos de libre comercio, como pieza fundamental para consolidar y ampliar bienes y servicios a los principales mercados, favorecer la captación de inversión extranjera, diversificar las exportaciones y contar con reglas claras y permanentes para el comercio de bienes y servicios. Tras las negociaciones y la entrada en vigencia del Tratado de Libre Comercio con Estados Unidos (febrero del 2009); la región La Libertad, vive un ‘boom’ agroexportador, pues sustenta su economía y tiene oferta exportable en sectores tales como el agrícola. Siendo los productos que más se producen y exportan: el espárrago, la alcachofa, la páprika, los mangos, uvas, etc. Productos que pertenecen específicamente al sector agrícola no tradicional, que tienen como principal destino a Estados Unidos. En ese sentido, el impacto económico que tendrá el Tratado de Libre Comercio en la región La Libertad será favorable, en la medida que se incrementen las exportaciones y por ende se genere más empleo por la mayor producción.
