Resumen
Los antibióticos son el arma más importante para las enfermedades infecciosas que amenazan a la comunidad. Su uso indiscriminado fomenta el fracaso terapéutico, aparición de bacterias resistentes y/o multirresistentes, enmascaramiento de procesos infecciosos, cronicidad en procesos infecciosos, recidiva, aparición de reacciones adversas, desde las más tenues a las más severas, y toxicidad. Según la OMS si no se toman medidas los antibióticos serán ineficaces para prevenir y tratar enfermedades humanas en el 2050, es por ello la importancia de concientizar a la población acerca de su adecuado uso. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de Conocimiento, Actitudes y Prácticas sobre el uso de antibióticos en el centro poblado de Buenos Aires-Víctor Larco. Métodos: Estudio Observacional, descriptivo, y transversal. Se encuesto a 384 pobladores del centro poblado de Buenos Aires-Víctor Larco durante el periodo mayo a julio del 2021. Resultados y conclusiones: Los resultados fueron presentados en tablas estadísticas con frecuencia absolutas y porcentuales; posterior al análisis se concluyó que: nivel de conocimientos (alto: 61.5%, regular: 38 % y bajo: 0.5%), actitudes (favorables 81.5%y desfavorable 18.5%) y prácticas (Adecuadas: 93.8 % y inadecuadas: 6.3%)
