Eficiencia de las técnicas químico-mecánica con gel de papacarie® y rotacional convencional en la remoción de dentina cariada en lesiones 1.2 en primeras molares permanentes

Con el propósito de determinar la eficiencia de las técnicas químicomecánica con gel papacarie® y Rotacional Convencional en la remoción de dentina cariada en molares permanentes, de desarrolló la presente investigación experimental de tipo Ensayo Clínico con datos pareados. La muestra estuvo conformada por 30 niños, que tenían 02 primeras molares permanentes vitales y contra laterales con caries Clase 1 Grado 2, recibiendo un tratamiento de cada una de las técnicas propuestas: convencional rotacional y quimico-mecánica con gel papacarie®. La aleatorización de la muestra se hizo mediante ensayo de Bernoulli, contándose con dos odontólogos para realizar los procedimientos operatorios (uno para cada técnica. Todas las cavidades fueron restauradas con Amalgama en el caso de la técnica rotacional convencional y con Ionómero de vidrio de Restauración a las que se les realizó la técnica químico-mecánica con gel papacarie® (B). Los resultados evidencian que la técnica químico mecánica con gel de papacarie® fue mas eficiente al evaluarse la presencia de dolor, tiempo de remoción de caries, tiempo total del procedimiento ,comportamiento y costos, presentando diferencias muy significativas, concluyéndose que la técnica químico-mecánica con gel papacarie® podría ser una alternativa de tratamiento para la remoción de dentina cariada en primeras molares permanentes.
