Prácticas maternas de alimentación complementaria, estado nutricional y grado de desarrollo psicomotor en lactantes

La presente investigación, cuantitativa descriptiva correlacional, se realizó en
madres y lactantes del Centro de Salud Alto Moche, Trujillo; con la finalidad
de determinar la relación entre las prácticas maternas de alimentación
complementaria, el estado nutricional y grado de desarrollo psicomotor en
lactantes. La muestra estuvo constituida por 68 madres con sus lactantes de
6 a 8 meses de edad, a quienes se les aplicó los cuestionarios de
“Información del Estado Nutricional y Grado de Desarrollo Psicomotor del
Lactante” y de “Prácticas Maternas de Alimentación Complementaria”. La
información fue obtenida de la evaluación realizada a los lactantes y
entrevistas realizadas a las madres, para determinar la relación entre
variables se aplicó la prueba Gamma. Los resultados evidencian que el 82,4
por ciento de las madres presentan adecuadas prácticas de alimentación
complementaria y el 17,6 por ciento inadecuadas. El 79,4 por ciento de los
lactantes presenta estado nutricional normal; el 16,2 por ciento sobrepeso y
el 4,4 por ciento obesidad. El 91,2 por ciento presenta desarrollo psicomotor
normal y el 8,8 por ciento riesgo de trastorno del desarrollo. Existe relación
altamente significativa entre prácticas maternas de alimentación
complementaria y estado nutricional de los lactantes, así mismo existe
relación altamente significativa entre las prácticas maternas de alimentación
complementaria y el grado de desarrollo psicomotor de los lactantes.
