Resumen
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal con el objetivo de determinar cuáles son las características sociodemográficas, clínicas y médicas de pacientes con hipertensión residentes en los territorios vecinales 06, 09, 10, 35, 36, 39, 49 y 53 del distrito de Trujillo. La población estuvo conformada por 47 pacientes, 13 hombres y 34 mujeres. Se realizaron visitas domiciliarias durante los meses de agosto a diciembre del 2013, en las cuales se registró información en una historia farmacoterapéutica (método Dader) a cada paciente, la cual comprende problemas de salud, medicamentos usados, se midió la presión arterial, peso, talla, perímetro abdominal e índice cintura/cadera. Se halló que el 44,46 % de pacientes estaban dentro del rango de edad entre 70-79 años, según el sexo 53,85% para hombres y 41,18% en mujeres. El 40,43% tiene grado de instrucción superior, el 4,26% de los pacientes fuma y el 23,4% de la población consume alcohol, con respecto a la dieta el 48,94% controla su alimentación y el 23,4% de los pacientes realizan frecuentemente ejercicio, el 51% de la población presenta sobrepeso y 29,79% tiene obesidad tipo I y el 23% de la población presenta un riesgo moderado de sufrir un evento cardiovascular. La patología más frecuente es la hipercolesterolemia con 8.89% de la población; el 63.83% de la población tiene su presión arterial controlada y el grupo farmacológico más usado por el 35.85% de la población son los inhibidores de la enzima convertidora de angiotensina (IECA) siendo el más representativo el enalapril.
