CARACTERIZACIÓN ZOOTÉCNICA Y PRODUCTIVA DE LA POBLACIÓN DE CUYES EN DISTRITO DE LAREDO- TRUJILLO - LA LIBERTAD

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación:”, “CARACTERIZACIÓN ZOOTÉCNICA Y PRODUCTIVA DE LA POBLACIÓN DE CUYES EN DISTRITO DE LAREDO- TRUJILLO - LA LIBERTAD” se desarrolló con la finalidad de determinar la caracterización zootécnica y productiva de la población de cuyes y, con el objetivo, identificar los tipos o líneas genéticas, formas de crianza, calcular los parámetros productivos y reproductivos, en los anexos del distrito de Laredo. Se evaluaron 357 cuyes, nativos y criollos mejorados mediante una entrevista estructurada y trabajo de campo. Se trabajó en Excel para dar formato a tablas y gráficos. Se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: Los cuyes que se crían en Laredo según su conformación de cuerpo son del tipo A, con color de ojos negros, coloración del pelaje predominante es alazán, y por su forma de pelaje es Tipo 2, Las características productivas de los cuyes del ámbito de investigación tienen una asociación zoométrica con los cuyes mejorados Andina, Inti y Perú. Las características productivas son menores respecto a aquellas correspondientes a las líneas mejoradas. La caracterización zootécnica de los cuyes en Laredo, coincide, principalmente con la raza criolla mejorada de media a alta producción y productividad.

The following results were obtained: The guinea pigs that are bred in Laredo according to their body conformation are of the type A, with black eyes color, the predominant fur color is chestnut and because of its fur shape it is Type 2, The productive characteristics of the guinea pigs of the research field have a zoological association with the improved guinea pigs Andina, Inti and Peru. The productive characteristics are lower compared to those corresponding to the improved lines. The zootechnical characterization of the guinea pigs in Laredo coincides, mainly with the improved Creole breed of medium to high production and productivity.
