Estado Nutricional y Nivel Socioeconómico de las personas adultas atendidas en el centro de salud El Trópico - Huanchaco- Agosto-Setiembre 2017

El presente trabajo de investigación es un estudio descriptivo. Se investigó el estado nutricional y su relación con el nivel socioeconómico de las personas adultas atendidas en el centro de salud “El Trópico- Huanchaco”. La población estuvo conformada por 59 personas comprendidas entre 18 y 82 años de edad. El estado nutricional fue determinado mediante Indicadores Antropométricos de Waterlow como relación Peso/Talla y Talla/Edad, Relación cintura/cadera, Índice de Masa Corporal, Porcentaje de grasa corporal y Reserva proteica. De acuerdo al estudio se obtuvo, según indicadores antropométricos de Waterlow que el 54 % presenta obesidad, 44 % estado normal y 2 % desnutrición aguda. Según el IMC el 1,69 % presenta delgadez, 52,5 % estado normal, 30,5 % sobrepeso y 15,3 % obesidad. En el Porcentaje de grasa corporal, el 32,2 % en normopeso, 25,4 % en límite, y 42,4 % obesidad. La relación Cintura/cadera el cual indica el riesgo cardiovascular, 8,5% sin riesgo, 30,5 % bajo riesgo y 61% alto riesgo. En la relación del nivel socioeconómico y las variables de Índice de Masa Corporal, Índice cintura/cadera y Porcentaje de grasa, aplicando la prueba de chi cuadrado, demostró significancia estadísticamente significativa (Valor de p: 0.0138; 0.0075 y 0.0335 respectivamente).
El sobrepeso y obesidad constituyen un problema de salud pública, el estudio demostró que existe un alto porcentaje de la población con obesidad y un alto riesgo cardiovascular. Estos indicadores están relacionados con el nivel socioeconómico de la población
