Tamizaje fitoquímico y efecto antifúngico in vitro del extracto fluido de las hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby (suelda con suelda) frente a Candida albicans

El presente trabajo de investigación, tuvo como objetivo realizar el tamizaje fitoquímico, y evaluar el efecto in vitro del extracto fluido de la hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby (suelda con suelda) frente a Candida albicans.
Se obtuvo el extracto fluido mediante la percolación fraccionada de 1 kg de hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby (suelda con suelda) procedente de la ciudad de Tarapoto, provincia de San Martín, región de San Martín. Se llevó a sequedad el extracto fluido y se realizó el tamizaje fitoquímico preliminar mediante el método de Martinez y Cuéllar. El extracto fluido se fraccionó en extracto clorofórmico, etanólico y acuoso, en los cuales se realizaron los diferentes ensayos fitoquímicos. Finalmente se determinó el efecto antifúngico del extracto fluido de Phthirusa robusta Rusby “suelda con suelda” mediante el método de difusión en discos – Kirby & Bauer a concentraciones de 0.1 g/ml, 0.2 g/ml, 0.3 g/ml frente a Candida albicans. En la fracción clorofórmica de hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby se identificaron cualitativamente triterpenos-esteroides, compuestos grasos. En la fracción etanólica de hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby se identificaron cualitativamente azúcares reductores, triterpenos-esteroides, fenoles, taninos, quinonas, cardenólidos, alcaloides, aminoácidos, flavonoides y antocianidina, y en la fracción acuosa de hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby se identificaron cualitativamente alcaloides, flavonoides, azúcares reductores, fenoles/taninos. El extracto fluido de hojas de Phthirusa robusta Rusby “suelda con suelda” presentó a concentraciones de 0.1 g/ml, 0.2 g/ml y 0.3 g/mL halos de inhibición, con valores promedios de 8.69mm ± 2.1 , 11.38 mm ± 0.5, 13.06 mm ± 1.53 respectivamente.
El extracto fluido, con diferencias estadísticamente signifitcativas (p<0.05) a concentraciones de 0.2 y 0.3 g/ml, presentaron efecto antifúngico frente a Candida albicans
