OSTEOLOGÍA DE Paralonchurus peruanus “suco” PROVENIENTE DE LA CALETA DE HUANCHACO, LA LIBERTAD

Abstract

El estudio morfológico de los elementos óseos en peces nos proporciona datos meristicos que son de gran aporte en la identificación taxonómica de las especies, permitiendo clasificar a los peces dentro de sus diferentes categorías taxonómicas. Es una herramienta valiosa para la taxonomía, que ha permitido la definición de grandes grupos de vertebrados así como la descripción, identificación y comparación a nivel de familias en peces. El objetivo del presente trabajo es la identificación y descripción de cada una de las estructuras óseas que conforman el esqueleto de Paralonchurus peruanus “suco”. Se recolectaron 3 ejemplares que fueron obtenidos de las capturas de faenas de pesca en Huanchaco (Trujillo – Perú) y se utilizaron técnicas de desarticulación de peces en fresco para ejemplares adultos. Esta especie, desde el punto de vista de la morfología ósea, en el neurocráneo presenta dos protuberancias y la columna vertebral consta de veinte y siete vértebras y presenta protuberancias óseas en las vértebras caudales.

The morphological study of bone elements is a valuable tool for taxonomy, which has allowed the definition of large groups of vertebrates as well as the description, identification and comparison at the level of families in fish. The objective of the present work is aimed at the identification and description of each one of the bony structures that make up the skeleton of Paralonchurus peruanus "suco". It was collected 3 specimens that were obtained of the catches of fishing in Huanchaco (Trujillo - Perú) and techniques were used for dismantling of fish in fresh for adult specimens. This species, from the point of view of the morphology of bone, is characterized by having in the neurocráneo two bumps and the spine consists of twenty seven vertebrae and presents bony bumps in the caudal vertebrae.
