dc.descriptionThe purpose of this paper is basically to give a study about the notions of ‘financial information’ and ‘financial statements’ from a corporate legal and accounting perspective. It includes definitions, characteristics, and effective use in the governance of a joint stock company.The results of this article essentially recommend for increase effective work of the shareholders assembly, board of directors, and CEO manager. And these suggestions may probably be included at the moment of the constitution of the company or in the modifications of its bylaws. With these ideas, we emphasize the importance of the integration corporate accounting and law.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo tiene como propósito ofrecer un estudio de las nociones de ‘información financiera’ y ‘estados financieros’ desde una perspectiva principalmente legal y contable societaria. Incluye sus conceptos, características y utilidad en la labor de los órganos de gobierno de una sociedad anónima.Sus resultados se materializan en una serie de propuestas o sugerencias que los órganos de gobierno podrían establecer en el estatuto de constitución de la sociedad o al momento de plantear una modificación. Con esto se resalta la necesidad de integrar la visión contable con la jurídica al momento de adoptar decisiones por parte de los accionistas, miembros del directorio o gerencia.es-ES
