Conductas parentales y estrés parental en padres de niños con 1 a 3 años de edad de Lima, Metropolitana

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre las conductas parentales y el estrés parental en los padres de familia con niños de 1 a 3 años de Lima Metropolitana. Además, el estudio fue predictivo asociativo, muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Los participantes fueron 236 padres (11.01%) y madres (88.98%) entre 21 y 57 años de edad (Medad = 35.17 , DEedad = 5.75). Se utilizaron los instrumentos de Competencias Parentales (ICP, Lovejoy, 1999) y Estrés Parental (PSI-1, Abidin, 1995). Los cuales presentaron análisis de validez y confiabilidad aceptables. Asimismo, los resultados obtenidos confirmaron la hipótesis de investigación, puesto que existe relación negativa entre las dimensiones de conductas parentales y el estrés parental. Siendo, total estrés parental y hostilidad cohersión (p< .05, y r= .22) ; total estrés y compromiso soporte (p< .001 y r = -.42).

Relationship between parental practices and parental stress in parents of kids from 1 to 3 years old of Lima, Perú. This investigation has the objective to determine the relationship between parental practices and parental stress in parents of kids from 1 to 3 years old from Lima, Perú. This study has associative design not probabilistic by convenience. The participants were 236 parents including mothers (88.98%) and fathers (11.01%) in between 21 and 57 years old (Mage = 35.17 , DEage = 5.75). The instruments used for parental practices (ICP, Lovejoy, 1999) and for parental stress (PSI-1, Abidin, 1995). Both of them show acceptable validity and reliability. In addition, to the results obtained the hypothesis of the investigation was confirmed, because there exists a negative relation in between the dimensions: parental practices and parental stress in parents of kids from 1 to 3 years old. Having as a result parental stress and hostility/coertion (p< .05, y r= .22) ; parental stress and compromise/support (p< .001 y r = -.42).
