Análisis de la cobertura periodística del diario Trome y el programa Magaly TV La Firme sobre el caso de denuncia por violencia de género contra el futbolista Andy Polo (2022)

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el tratamiento informativo que medios como el diario popular Trome y el programa de espectáculos Magaly TV La Firme hicieron del caso de denuncia por violencia de género contra el futbolista Andy Polo en el año 2022. El estudio resulta pertinente porque ayuda a la visibilización de una problemática recurrente en la comunicación periodística peruana y, además, porque ofrece herramientas de análisis y definición de conceptos que componen el objeto de estudio. En esa línea, se ocupa de definiciones como la opinión pública, la violencia de género, el tratamiento informativo, el sensacionalismo, el rol social del periodismo, etc. Asimismo, para demostrar que esto no es propiedad de un solo formato, el estudio tiene como objetivo exponer un caso de prensa escrita y un caso de prensa televisiva. De esta forma, se ofrece un análisis más amplio al mismo tiempo que se definen sus características comunes.

This research work aims to analyze the informative treatment that media such as the popular newspaper Trome and the show program Magaly TV La Firme made the case of denouncing gender violence against the soccer player Andy Polo in the year 2022. The study is pertinent because it helps to make visible a recurring problem in Peruvian journalistic communication and, in addition, because it offers tools for analysis and definition of concepts that make up the object of study. Along these lines, it deals with descriptions such as public opinion, gender violence, news treatment, sensationalism, the social role of journalism, etc. Likewise, to demonstrate that this is not the property of a single format, the study aims to expose a case of the written press and a case of the television press. In this way, a broader analysis is offered while defining their common characteristics.
