Presentaremos la influencia de la coordinación de tres teorías de la educación matemática TEM: Teoría del Aprendizaje Significativo (TAS) (Ausubel, 1983), la Transposición Antropológico-Didáctica (TAD) (Chevallard, 1998) y Teoría de Representaciones Semióticas (TRS) (Duval, 1995). Mostraremos la experiencia didáctica sobre una sesión de aprendizaje del álgebra elemental. Reportaremos momentos didácticos donde el docente aplica las teorías mencionadas y la sinergia lograda por la coordinación de estas teorías en una sesión de enseñanza-aprendizaje con estudiantes de matemáticas básicas del primer ciclo de la universidad. Concluimos que cuando el docente hace uso de las TEM logra aprendizajes más efectivos en los estudiantes.
