La investigación buscó presentar el impacto de la regulación de la terminación anticipada en la etapa intermedia dentro de la administración de justicia peruana; teniendo como objetivo general, describir la falta de regulación de la terminación anticipada en la etapa intermedia y su incidencia en el principio de celeridad procesal; siendo de tipo descriptiva, cualitativa, utilizando fuentes documentales, normativas, con la participación de 15 especialistas; se empleó el análisis de legislación nacional y comparada, entrevistas, encuestas, análisis documental y jurisprudencial. Los resultados indicaron que en otros países se utiliza este tipo de proceso; en el Perú, la terminación anticipada en etapa intermedia, no está regulada, pues se considera una desigualdad entre el ministerio público y la parte inculpada; de los 15 especialistas, 9 (60%) no consideran positivo este proceso, porque se estaría vulnerando el principio de preclusión, el 40% indicó que si se implementará este proceso se lograría culminar de manera rápida con casos no tan complejos. Se concluye que existe una incidencia negativa, debido a una falta de regulación; queda entendido que a pesar que incide negativamente, permite la eficiencia en los casos, es decir la culminación de los delitos de menor grado en un tiempo eficiente.
