Resumen
A Business Intelligence solution for the 1992 and 2002 censuses in Chile is described, aiming to integrate information from both periods so as to facilitate the observation and time-space data analysis. The solution involves the implementation of a Data Mart that includes geospatial information (GeoBI) and allows using GIS technology and spatial online analytical processing (SOLAP) tools for displaying information. To extend the dissemination of this information, a web map server 'Geo Analysis Census' has been implemented, through which it is possible to dynamically interact with the population data, considering the use of cubes, maps and dashboards. The existing alternative in the market is the REDATAM tool, widely used in Latin America to manage information census. However, it does not permit integrated queries between censuses in different years, nor to interact with cartographical data visualization. Therefore, this work contributes to the observation and census geo-information analysis by using open access tools that enable a more flexible and powerful integrated analysis.
