Resumen
We report a 41 years old male with a history of hematochezia since childhood. A colonoscopy showed a highly vascularized submucosal lesion extending from the pectinate line to the distal sigmoid colon. Magnetic resonance showed a thickening of rectal wall with multiple vascular structures and phleboliths. The lesion was excised surgically. The postoperative period was uneventful. The pathological report disclosed a lame rectal hemangioma.
