In the fish farming Pichichanlelfu of Marine Harvest Chile, places in
Puyehue X region, in the period of spawning of the year 2002 we observed
that an important amount of eggs of Salmo salar showed an abnormality
like a white spot inside of the yolk salk, of dense material of irregular size
and irregular shape that we don't know what is it. In order to evaluate the
effect of this abnormality in the viability of egg was carried out this trial.
The assessed the results of early fecundation percentage (110 degree days)
and survivor at eyed stage (300 degree days) among the following groups:
the control (without spot), the white spot with < 1 mm of diameter and size
the white spot with > 1 mm of diameter. The results show a statistical
differences (P<O,OS) only at eyed stage. The differences were associated to
present of white spot, independent of their size. Moreover it was to
compared the normal to abnormal eggs by microscope only and histology,
characterized basically the abnormal egg. The observation show sorne
alterations in the structure into the abnormal egg to respect the normal
eggs.
