A partir de la comprensión de los conceptos ciencia, tecnología y sociedad, elementos importantes y siempre vigentes en el desarrollo de las civilizaciones, se ha seleccionado la modalidad de turismo de cruceros como situación objeto de estudio para demostrar el vínculo de estos fenómenos en este subsector turístico que se encuentra en constante crecimiento. Por tanto, el objetivo se fundamenta en demostrar el impacto socioeconómico, científico y tecnológico de la modalidad turística de cruceros en Cuba. Vínculo manifestado desde los primeros indicios de viajes de cruceros hasta la actualidad, la cual es protagonizada por la mejora e innovación constante de esta industria basándose en estudios científicos, en la búsqueda de desarrollo tecnológico para mejorar la calidad de los productos y servicios dirigidos a la sociedad que disfruta de esta modalidad y además disminuir el impacto territorial y cultural de los destinos donde se desarrolla, incluyendo la propia sociedad cubana.Based on the science, technology and society concepts understanding, important and always current elements in the development of civilizations, the modality of cruise tourism has been selected as the situation under study to demonstrate the link between this phenomenon in this tourism subsector that is in a constantly growing. Therefore, the objective of the research is based on demonstrating the socioeconomic, scientific, and technological impact of the cruise tourism modality in Cuba. The link is manifested since the first indications of cruise trips to nowadays, which is led by the constant improvement and innovation of this industry based on scientific studies, in the search for technological development to improve the quality of products and services aimed at the society that enjoys this modality and also reduces the territorial and cultural impact of the destinations where it is developed, including Cuban society.
