RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo se realizó un análisis panbiogeográfico de la distribución de las especies del clado Enckea Kunth (Piperaceae) con el fin de contribuir al estudio de las relaciones biogeográficas de los Bosques Neotropicales Estacionalmente Secos (BNES) de Centroamérica, las Antillas Y Suramérica. Para la obtención de los trazos se generó una base de datos y se mapearon las distribuciones de las especies en la región Neotropical usando como referencia el esquema de Provincias Biogeográficas para América Latina y el Caribe propuesto por Morrone en 2001. A partir de los 904 registros pertenecientes a 74 especies se generaron 50 trazos individuales, dando como resultado la obtención de 8 trazos generalizados y 4 nodos. Los trazos generalizados fueron representativos de las localidades de BNES en todo el Neotrópico, sin embargo, no fue posible integrar los distintos biomas de BNES bajo la hipótesis de un origen común. Por el contrario, los resultados son congruentes con una hipótesis que relaciona distintos eventos tectónicos y Paleoclimáticos en Centroamérica, las Antillas y Suramérica, los cuales pudieron influir de manera importante en la diversificación de las especies de Enckea en estos bosques.
