Honduras tiene uno de los mayores índices de desigualdad del mundo, datos del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), muestra que el índice de GINI, el cual mide la desigualdad en los ingresos de un país, en el cual Honduras ha estado por encima del 0.5 por mucho tiempo, lo cual indica que desde el 2001 se han experimentado fluctuaciones en dicho índice variando desde un 54.08%, llegando a tener su máximo incremento a 59.51% en el año 2006 y finalmente para el año 2014 se reportó un descenso el cual llego a 50.64%.Honduras has one of the highest levels of inequality in the world, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), shows that the GINI index, which measures the inequality in the income of a country, in which Honduras has been above 0.5 for a long time, which indicates that since 2001 fluctuations have been experienced in this index ranging from 54.08%, reaching its maximum increase to 59.51% in 2006 and finally for the year 2014, a decline was reported which reached 50.64%.
